Anda Seat Kaiser 2 Gaming Chair Review

It goes without saying that the Anda Seat Kaiser 2 is quite a chair, so much so that a reviewer of the Mavis M9 joked that the chair "seems to fit the body." It can support up to 441 pounds and can stand up to 7 feet tall. The Kaiser 2 combines a sturdy steel frame with oversized bars to support more weight and greater height.

The Kaiser 2 is a sturdy piece of furniture and can recline its seatback to a 160-degree angle without fear of buckling. It feels like a grizzly bear or a gaming chair designed for offensive linemen on a football team.

The chair is constructed of a combination of high-density molded shaping foam that conforms to the shape of your body over time. I've had the chair for about two weeks now and it is one of the most comfortable chairs I've sat in this year. I can sit in it for hours with very little discomfort. With the exception of the footrest, it sits like a recliner.

For someone like me, who is only 5'5" tall and weighs 155 pounds (at least I admit it), sitting down in this chair feels like the PVC leather wraps around my body. Over the weekend, I had my father, who is 6'5" tall and weighs 200 pounds, try it out and he totally loved it. This from someone who feels that most office chairs are a little too snug to sit comfortably for more than an hour.

To give you a sense of how big Andaseat's design is, I took a picture of the Kaiser 2 next to the T3 Rush, a comfortable all-fabric chair from Corsair. The luxurious faux leather is a nice touch, but I expected it to stop looking like a regular gamer chair and go for something a little more modern. I was expecting something a little more flashy, especially since Andaseat makes race car seats for BMW and Mercedes Benz.

I personally am tired of the racing seat (or bucket seat) inspired design of most gaming chairs. It comes in only two colors: the all-black shown here and a gorgeous maroon. If you want a little more personality in your lamprest, Anda Seat offers a Marvel superhero-themed chair, but not this particular design.

Instead, the Kaiser 2 is for gamers who have to make a work call and don't want to explain why their chair has a devil rune on it.

The oversized neck and back pillows are made of memory foam and are useful for those who care about their posture or need ergonomics for health reasons. I found the neck pillow to be a bit too large, so I removed it and stuck with the back pillow. On the downside, the 4D armrests were my least favorite aspect of the Kaiser 2 design. It rattles a bit, but it doesn't feel as luxurious as the rest of the design.

Given the size and weight, assembly would require two people. Unlike other chairs I have assembled, trying to assemble this chair by myself will only result in a sore back. With a little help, it can be assembled in 15-20 minutes, but it would take another 15 minutes if done alone. The entire chair weighs about 75 pounds, so again care must be taken when lifting it.

Like all fine furniture, the price is reasonable. The Kaiser 2 costs $500. However, you won't find many gaming or office chairs that support the height and weight of a large person, if you even try to find one. We found inexpensive seats with high weight limits, but none that looked sturdy or used attractive, high-end leather or memory foam pillows.

In that regard, the Anda Seat Kaiser 2 is the perfect chair for large, tall gamers looking for a chair they don't have to worry about breaking.
