This keyboard is too small, no space key... How in the world am I supposed to jump?
[This PiPi Gherkin mechanical keyboard is powered by a Raspberry Pi. As a full-time writer, anything less than 104 keys is a challenge for me.

How anyone can use a 30% keyboard is beyond me.

Each key is full-sized, which makes it at least somewhat practical, but without backspace, a return key, or even a dedicated space key, this little thing would terrify even the most seasoned small typist.

Hackaday writer Donald Papp urges us not to be discouraged by the paucity of keys: "At first glance, it has more features. Instead of using a combo of function keys, there is a 'dual function tap/hold key' on the bottom row.

The whole thing is, of course, completely remappable. The "Layer State" makes it easy to switch between Dvorak, Colemak, and Workman layouts by changing the "default layer". Also, by programming individual layer states, one can, at least according to the github description, "overlay other features on the base layer."

While there are certainly more useful keyboards out there, I'm still not convinced that the PiPi Gherkin will get the job done. Nevertheless, as Papp says, "For some applications, smaller is better"

and the PiPi Gherkin is a good choice.

Keep telling yourself that, buddy.
