The Epic Games Store is giving away two games this week: the arcade racing game Horizon Chase Turbo and the old-school platformer Sonic Mania, in which a blue hedgehog is a serious competitor.

Horizon Chase Turbo is "an homage to classic arcade racers," replacing realism with speed and a 16-bit inspired visual style. 111 tracks and 48 cities to race through, 33 unlockable cars and 12 different cups. If multiplayer is your thing, the game supports local split-screen racing for up to four players and an "online competitive ghost mode" with friends and global leaderboards.

Sonic Mania is a retro speedster itself, bringing the familiar 2D gameplay back to the modern age in an all-new adventure featuring new bosses and finely detailed levels.
