The director of Final Fantasy 14 promises to create a super difficult achievement for players who have earned all the achievements, if they so desire.

A few months ago, a respected Final Fantasy 14 player became the first to earn all 2,751 achievements available at the time. This means that it took 10 years for someone to earn all of the achievements, which means that it took about 7 years of hard work for just one achievement.

Now, if that warrior of light is looking for more challenges, director and producer Naoki Yoshida is happy to provide them. At a press conference at London's Fan Festival, Yoshida said through an interpreter, "First and foremost, I want to say congratulations," and added, "To see that player just keep going and going and going is ..... MMO creator, it's really great," he added.

Usually achievements are added with each major patch for things like story quests, new dungeons, and other missions, but Yoshida is open to implementing something specifically for this very determined player. 'Of course, we will continue to create achievements in the game, but it's entirely up to this particular player whether or not they want to create higher difficulty achievements. If they request it, we will of course be happy to do it. If so, please send me a message on the forum."

At first I wasn't sure if he was joking or not, but it seems that Yoshida is really trying to dedicate a little something to them. He said, "If you send me a message, I will believe you. I will keep my promise."

Obviously a nice way to honor a player who has spent so much time at Eorzea and explored all that Eorzea has to offer. If I were in this player's shoes, I would take them up on their offer, although I dread to imagine what wicked things Yoshida and team could create. Hopefully, they will not accomplish a feat that will take another seven years to complete.
