"Y'all killed it": Survive The Undead, a community-made PvE zombie mode, is bringing players back to Halo Infinite

A group of community developers and Halo Forge enthusiasts have created a new PvE mode for Halo Infinite: Survive The Undead.

"Survive The Undead mesh the Halo Firefight experience in the COD Zombies mode that fans love, bringing fast-paced, intense, and sometimes creepy gameplay," dev team The Forge Falcons said in a blog post. "As we learned in Reach, the aim is to 'survive' and you want to do it by the means you need."

This mode is infinite and round-based, so if you have skills and superhuman reactions, you can theoretically go on forever. According to a tweet from the Forge Falcons, the highest record so far is 3,588 total kills, lasting 1 hour and 39 minutes, with a winning score set at 34,090. This, to say the least, is a tremendously impressive feat.

There is also the possibility that more maps will be added to survive the night. "With this playlist, you can test new modes (BTB heavy), new features (new network models), get that information back and get massive feedback before iterating " From there, you can address issues and community feedback to get ready for primetime matchmaking. You can do it."

Players were quick to applaud these volunteer developers for their chaotic thrill ride, including the game YouTuber HiddenXperia, best known for Halo lore deep dives and explainers: "Halo Infinite has a functioning point system, power-ups, mystery boxes, perk machines, and more." We've added round-based zombies with pack-up punches, wall purchases, and more to both the full remake of Nacht from World at War and the original map as well. You killed them."

A lot of people have expressed support, and some have actually said that this might be coming back to Halo Infinite. "As someone who hasn't played [Halo]Infinite since my boys quit in 2022, how can I find this map?"

If you want to try Survive The Undead, it's a waste of time because Forge Falcons can only play for the next few weeks before reevaluating things and taking it to respond to feedback.Fortunately, Survive The Undead is currently the top playlist for matchmaking, so it's very easy to find.

While some have pointed out that it's a bit disappointing that the community got some of Halo Infinite's unfortunate launch in 2021, the achievements of Forge Falcons should not be overshadowed as Survive The Undead has become the fast track to becoming a fan favorite mode.
