"It's done at our end": Helldivers 2's infamous Review Bomb Cape is ready, but Arrowhead says "it's the right time to release it."

In the midst of all the gunfights and major orders, one of the most notable battles played by Helldivers2 players was the game itself.1 This was done in the form of a review bombing campaign in retaliation for Sony's exclusion of Helldivers177 from sale in 2 countries and territories that have no access to PSN.

The developer Arrowhead, who brought Helldivers2 back to a "mixed" state after reaching some serious lows on the Steam page with more than 211,000 negative recent reviews, said, "We're talking solutions with Sony, especially in countries other than PSN." Now, Arrowhead Ceo Johan Pilestedt tweeted. "Your voice was heard, and I'm doing everything I can to speak for the community - but I don't have the final say."

This statement actually only made things worse for a while, as many players were unhappy with the apparent bias of blame. Things really started to look good for Arrowhead after Pilestedt shared a community post that threw a cape at the design of the review bomb. What started as a funny "what if" as most players changed their focus from PSN to this stylish cape, snow piled up on a considerable community effort

We knew the cape had been working for a while: Pilestedt shared a small teaser on Twitter. You can only see a small part of the cape, but I recognize those poignant red lines everywhere (representing a drop to negative reviews). Despite knowing its existence, the player could not get it. They still can't, but that may soon change.

Pilestedt then took to Twitter again to make sure Cape "is done at our end, but we want to find the right time to release it.""I don't know what Arrowhead is waiting for, maybe it will release the cape as a reward for future major orders, or maybe it will be waiting for further problems landing the company in hot water." One player suggested in response that "It would be a good move to re-list the game in other regions and release it at the same time.""Sony didn't take a step back in its stance on PSN accounts for other games, like the PC release of God of War Ragnarök, but eventually the company flashed and retracted the stance of the Helldivers2 player, making this idea possible.

The news also comes in the wake of the moral conundrum that Helldivers2 players had to face — either saving a hospital full of sick children, or Pilestedt also getting a job he did well after a sweet new surprise revealed that the players actually band together to save the children. Another kind of reward for the poor
