Dishonored and Prey studios are hiring for unannounced projects.

Arkane Studios, developer of "Dishonored" and "Prey," is hiring for a new game. Recently, job postings for the company's teams in both Lyon and Austin have appeared, some of which directly reference unannounced projects.

As MauroNL noted on Twitter, two of the three job postings at Arkane Lyon mention that the studio is "looking for talented (developers) to join our new unannounced project."

In a job posting for a graphic engineer at Arkane Austin is looking for "someone to join the team developing the next AAA title."

At this time, there is no official word on what these games will look like, but the listings give a vague idea. One listing calls for familiarity with Unreal Engine 4, but many of Arkane's past titles have been built on a form of id Tech, with the only notable exception being "Prey," which runs on CryEngine, suggesting the possibility of a major overhaul. Other mentions of online functionality and a desire for experience in a "live" gameplay environment may mean that multiplayer functionality is in development. The job description for the Engine Programmer position also mentions "immersive simulation and emergent gameplay," which may indicate a return to "Prey" and "Dishonored."

Arkane Lyon is currently working on "Deathloop," due out next summer. The last game from this studio in Austin was 2017's "Prey," but they have recently worked on last year's "Wolfenstein" game, "Youngblood" and "Cyberpilot". We're not likely to find out what these new projects are for a while yet, but the idea that Arkane is scaling up is certainly exciting, especially given Bethesda Softworks' recent acquisition by Microsoft.
