Ubisoft's "Gods & Monsters" has a new name

The Taiwan Digital Game Ratings Board has announced that Ubisoft's PC and console game Immortals: Phoenix Rising is Ubisoft's PC and console game Phoenix Rising.

This is most likely a new version of the postponed Gods & Monsters, which was supposed to be released in February of this year. When an old demo of the game was briefly leaked to Stadia, Ubisoft called it "the game formerly known as Gods & Monsters" in a statement to Kotaku and planned to reveal more details toward the "end of summer."

This is probably the new name, as the main character is named Fenyx. Since this is one of five games Ubisoft hopes to release by April 2021, it will likely be announced at the next Ubisoft Forward event in September Since "Gods & Monsters" was unveiled at E3 2019, news about the game has been essentially non-existent. The open-world game is set in the world of Greek mythology and features a more whimsical, cartoonish style than Ubisoft's usual offerings, especially the team-sharing Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Greek mythology is apparently popular around the world, as is this particular development team, so we look forward to more. We are not done with the Odyssey. Some games can be enjoyed forever.
