Shroud Returns to Twitch

Michael "Shroud" Grzsesiek moved from Twitch to Mixer in October 2019. The collapse of the platform earlier this year sent him (and everyone else who jumped in there) adrift, but as he said today on Twitter, he is now "coming home."

"I'm very excited to announce my return to Twitch and more importantly, my return to streaming, Twitch is where I was able to turn my passion for streaming into a successful career for the first time, and it's all because of my incredibly loyal fan base," Shroud said in a statement.

"As I explored my options, I realized there was no better place than Twitch to engage with the best and most loyal gaming community in the world. I'm also excited to relaunch my channel with a new look and logo that fans will love. I'm home!" .

Twitch confirmed the big comeback, saying it is "excited to welcome back Shroud and his amazing community."

Micahel Aragon, Twitch's senior vice president of content, said, "Our mission is to bring people together every day, and we look forward to bringing the FPS legend back exclusively on Twitch."

Shroud's return could be a bit of an interesting development: his move to Mixer came a couple of months after Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, but although Ninja was streaming on Twitch last week, he has yet to commit to a return.

The terms of Shroud's new contract with Twitch are unknown, and no return stream dates have been announced. His Twitch account again has a purple "verified" checkmark.
