New NPCs in "Red Dead Online" will give you medicine if you kill an animal.

The Red Dead Online Naturalist Update was released yesterday, and cowboys are embarking on a new frontier pasture. Conservationist Harriet Davenport wants to study and protect animals, while big game hunter Gus McMillan just wants to turn animals into nice outfits. So far, the Red Dead Online community seems to be Team Gus.

Both sides can be played, but Harriet gets cranky if she is seen using animal skins or hears of any wrongdoing. Not only does she receive harsh reprimands, but if she tries to talk to her, she is sprayed with tranquilizers, which interferes in some way with their working relationship.

It's not a one-time thing either. If you keep hunting, she will keep spraying you. It's the only way.

Gus, on the other hand, rewards you for killing animals and gives you a unique outfit, one of the main reasons to play Red Dead Online. Not surprisingly, he seems to be a bit popular among players.

Poor Harriet. She should level up more and start hunting hunters like the obsessive Mr. X-style stalker that makes all cowboys wet their pants.
