Stardew Valley's Pelican Town is a bit behind the curve when it comes to technology! But with aedenthorn's "Mobile Phone" mod, you can now get closer to the 21st century with the convenience of a smartphone.

This mod adds a smartphone interface to the corner of your screen, giving you quick access to all the apps installed on your mobile. The smartphone comes with a pre-installed phone book, allowing you to chat with the friendly residents of Pelican Town, even at the far end of the farm. However, not all people's phone numbers are registered in the app, and you must have at least four friendship hearts with a character to appear. Once this milestone is reached, you can keep calling all day long.

Modder aedenthorn has created several other mobile app mods for smartphones. So far, he has created a video player, two shopping apps, and a daily inspirational quote app. There is also an arcade game mod, Junimo Kart and Prairie King, which can be installed for those quiet moments when you arrive a little early and have to wait for Pierre's store to open. In a comment on the mod, aedenthorn explains that the apps with the "S" icon are from social networking services and are still in early development.
