Monster Hunter movie postponed to 2021.

The film adaptation of "Monster Hunter," starring Milla Jovovich and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, has been postponed. The film was originally scheduled for release on September 4, but has been pushed back to April 23 next year. Deadline, which broke the news, speculated that it was probably due to the coronavirus and that "the entire August release schedule will be pushed back to the fall."

The $60 million budgeted film, "Monster Hunter," was shot in South Africa and tells the story of soldiers who are sent from Earth to the world of monster hunters. And presumably, they have to kill big animals to make cool clothes. The idea of the main characters being soldiers who fell through a portal is a bit lame, but the costumes and oversized weapons are pretty faithful to the game, and the monsters seem to be faithful as well.

Speaking of games, the latest update for "Monster Hunter: World" just came out this month: "Monster Hunter World: Iceborn. The addition of the scorching black dragon Alatrion.
