"Sea of Thieves" has moved from the Windows Store to Steam. Last week, checkpoints were added to the Tall Tales adventure and daily bounties were added.

While the game was a bit lackluster when it first launched, multiple updates have kept it from getting boring, and many additions, systems, and yes, pets have been added. At least until everything goes up in flames and you are left stranded at sea in a pathetic rowboat, this laid-back ocean holiday atmosphere remains the same.

We called this game the best ongoing game of 2019 and it has kept us engaged through 2020, but I unfortunately ruined it by purchasing a pet I hate Cap'n Crappo is a grumpy cat who makes us put out fires, fight skeletons He meows and scurries around meowing at everyone while we put out fires, fight skeletons, or find a place to hide from him. He depresses everyone and I could choose any other pet, but I'm tempted to just pick Captain Crappo. I bought him a little outfit. I'm sure he's manipulating me.

Anyway, pretty great, except for the cat. If you want to give it a try before spending a lot of money, you can try out the Xbox Game Pass for PC for £1/$1, so you can spend a month to see if it's for you.
