A superdemon that kills other players appears in Doom Eternal.

In a move that is amusing to me, id Software is adding a feature called "Empowered Demons" to Doom Eternal in an upcoming update 1. When other players die, they will be able to transfer the demons that killed them to their own game, making them stronger. This is a new piece of the strategic and tactical puzzle that makes up Doom Eternal's combat arena and adds variety to the experience for those who have played the campaign mode many times and enjoyed the thrill of it.

In addition, powered-up demons drop "large" amounts of stamina and ammunition when defeated, giving players bonus XP to advance in-game events. These are like Battle Pass, but better than Battle Pass because they are free.

Doom Eternal's first post-release update will include more of the same, with an increased focus on Battle Mode enhancements. These include things like new anti-cheat and network tweaks, a death report screen, and prestige leveling for max-level players. There will also be some changes in single player, including a more detailed demon tutorial.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to seeing the powered up zombies. Because that means someone is going to be killed by a zombie.
