GOG Galaxy 2.0 now includes game subscriptions

Update: GOG has revealed that the old GOG Galaxy 1.2 client will soon be updated to 2.0, but is not yet ready to come out of beta.GOG is still working on new features, so when everyone starts using the updated client, the beta tag still applies. They also plan to update the official FAQ soon.

The original article GOG Galaxy 2.0 will be exiting beta soon, but in the meantime new updates will arrive and can be downloaded now.

As per our goal of becoming a unified launcher, GOG Galaxy now includes your game subscriptions. They are collected by default, so once you update your client, they should appear immediately.

Many people's games are connected to subscription services, like Game Pass and Uplay+ for PC. Once you download the update, you will be able to browse and install these games just like you own them.

Update 5 also allows you to link multiple executables to any game and customize them with your own launch parameters. This should come in handy for mods, cheats, and playing different versions of games, such as 64-bit and 32-bit versions.

Other new additions include the use of custom sorting titles to organize games, improved UI and better scrolling, and many fixes.

GOG has announced that a new client, which has been available in open beta since late last year, will soon launch to replace the old GOG Galaxy, but no date has been set yet. if you are using GOG Galaxy 1.2, you will not see these changes, but anyone can update to the beta version, which I highly recommend, as GOG Galaxy 1.2 is light years ahead of the old GOG Galaxy (and Steam, Epic, Origin, etc.) and has few problems.
