Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 has been extended. Originally scheduled to end on April 30, Season 2 will now last until June 4. This is a one-month extension for the battle royale shooter; Epic made the announcement on its official blog on Tuesday.

Epic also added that multiple updates are in the works to fill the period between now and early June and will add "fresh gameplay, new challenges, bonus XP, and a few more surprises."

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 originally opened on February 20, 2020. Even with this extension, it will not be as long as Chapter 2 Season 1, which ran for four months.
