Pilot a Giant Stomping Mecha in New "No Man's Sky" Update
[They include spaceships, living spaceships, submarines, hoverbikes, motorcycles, giant trucks, and dune baby carriages. You can even tame and ride most of the aliens you encounter.

But something was missing.

Well, here it is! No Man's Sky's latest free surprise patch is (quite surprisingly) the Exo Mech update. Walk. Jump. Stomp. You can even fly with a giant jetpack. You can even summon them from a freighter and drop them down, Titanfall-style. Take a peek at the impressive new mechs in the Exo Mech update trailer below.

"The Minotaur Exocraft is a unique new exocraft/suit hybrid that introduces a different way to explore the planet," says an email from Hello Games, makers of No Man's Sky. The mechanical walker "will protect the pilot from hostile environments and from hazards such as radiation and extreme temperatures. The Minotaur's unique feature is the freedom of movement it provides for exploration. The Minotaur's powerful jetpack allows it to soar powerfully through the air and land with a satisfying glide on terrain.

It looks quite appealing from a first-person perspective, but the same would be true when piloted in VR; the Exo Mech update was released today, and with it comes improvements to other Exocraft, including solar panels for daytime power charging and improved scanning capabilities.
