World War Z is now available for free on the Epic Games Store.

Co-op zombie horde shooter "World War Z" has been added to the Epic store's free games of the week, alongside "Figment" and "Tormentor x Punisher". Epic also announced the puzzle platformers "Hob" and "Gone Home" as free games for next week.

You can purchase "World War Z" on the Epic Store page right now. However, nothing will be revealed. As Ian noted in his review of "World War Z," it is largely bland and forgettable, but it does have its moments, and the scale of the swarm is impressive.

"In the massive battle events of 'World War Z,'" Ian writes, "zombies stopped by fences and walls pile up, climb over each other, and surge over the walls. "In the chaos of the horde, I liked to keep an eye out for these piles. When they shot into the base of the pile, it collapsed like a middle-school cheerleading squad failing to hold a human pyramid.

Next week's group of free games shows an improvement in quality. Gone Home is nearly seven years old, but is still a jaw-dropping first-person adventure, and Hob is a good-looking, satisfying puzzle game - according to Andy in his Gone Home review. Both will be free for a week starting April 2.

If you missed the big news earlier today, you may have heard that Epic has announced a publishing division and is already planning to release games from the developers of "The Last Guardian," "Limbo" and "Control."
