AMD's Ryzen 5 3600 is at an all-time low

About a month ago, we mentioned that the Ryzen 5 3600 processor had dropped to $175, 12% below list price. If you missed that deal and were hoping for a mulligan, good news - today's discount makes it even cheaper.

Newegg has it for $179.99, just a few dollars more than last month. However, if you enter coupon code EMCDEDR23 at checkout, the price drops to $164.99. This is the lowest price to date and a very good deal.

The 3600 is one of the best CPUs for gaming if you're building a mid-range build, with 6 cores and 12 threads, a base clock of 3.6 GHz, a maximum boost clock of 4.2 GHz, and 32 MB L3 cache.

It should also be noted that the 3600 is based on AMD's latest generation Zen 2 CPU architecture, which, when paired with an X570 motherboard, also supports PCI Express 4.0 to take full advantage of PCIe 4.0 SSDs running at speeds of over 5,000 MB/s. PCIe 4.0 SSDs running at speeds of 5,000MB/s or faster can be used to their fullest. While such speeds are not necessary for gaming, they are useful for moving large numbers of files.

The 3600 comes with AMD's Wraith Stealth cooler and is also eligible for three months of free Xbox Game Pass for PC.
