Ghost Recon: Breakpoint" Immersive Major Update Coming This Month

Because Ghost Recon Breakpoint was a disappointment at launch, news of a new immersive mode that removes the loot shooter elements from the game was well received. The mode was supposed to be released in February, but was later delayed, with a final release date of March 24.

On this date, there will be three game settings: regular, immersive, and custom: the first is the familiar Ghost Recon Breakpoint, the second adds new tactical options while "removing gear levels and tiered loot," and Custom allows players to personalize all of the above and more can be personalized.

Immersive mode definitely looks promising. A detailed description can be found here, but other highlights include ammo loss on reloads, "realistic looting" (no bumps in color-coded objects), and a more minimalist interface. Check out the video below for a dramatic overview.

This major update coincides with the start of Episode 2 of the game's DLC schedule, called "Deep State." A new class, the Engineer, has been added to the game and can "deal more damage to drones, carry additional attack items, and buff grenade launchers."

As for general tweaks and fixes, there is quite a list, mostly small quality of life changes. All of them should be found here.
