Razer Launches Lightest Gaming Mouse Ever

Razer has expanded its Viper gaming mouse lineup with the Viper Mini, a smaller version of the Viper and Viper Ultimate (the best gaming mouse with the highest DPI) with a shorter length and width grip. It is also lighter than the other two mice, in fact the lightest mouse in Razer's lineup.

The Viper Mini weighs only 61 grams and measures 4.6 (L) x 2.97 (W) x 1.49 (H) inches. In contrast, the Viper weighs 69 grams and measures 4.99 x 2.27 x 1.49 inches, while the Viper Ultimate has the same external dimensions at 74 grams.

While the Viper Mini is the lightest mouse offered by Razer, it is not actually the smallest. There is also the Abyssus Essential, which measures 4.51 x 2.48 x 1.46 inches and weighs 78 grams.

Razer's Viper Mini aims to pack the features of the full-size Viper into a smaller, more nimble body. It uses the same ambidextrous design as the other two Viper models, uses optical mouse switches, and has six programmable buttons.

"The ambidextrous chassis is even lighter and allows for quicker swipes. This ultralight gaming mouse is recommended for gamers with small to medium hand sizes who prefer a claw or fingertip grip style," Razer said.

Razer has equipped the Viper Mini with an 8,500 DPI optical sensor. It also offers tracking speeds of up to 300 inches per second; RGB lighting is part of the package, as is onboard memory for storing custom settings directly on the mouse.

The Viper Mini is currently available for $39.99 (€49.99).
