Electronic Arts Bans All FIFA Pros and Streamers

FIFA pro and streamer Kurt "Kurt0411" Fenech has long had a contentious relationship with Electronic Arts, as documented by IGN, due to his persistent abusive behavior towards the company during live streams and on social media. He was banned from the FIFA Congress in November, shortly after which his FIFA community-managed social media accounts were hacked by Fenech supporters.

In this video about his 2019 ban, Fenech says in this video about his 2019 banning that he was "more than justified" in telling his opponents to "suck my balls, you son of a bitch" during the live stream, which is cited as the reason for his ban, along with his "abusive" behavior toward various EA employees, He did not seem very remorseful.

"Anyone who plays video games, especially FIFA, has said that to their opponents. The difference is that there's a live camera right in front of you.

"Does that change things? No, I don't care. I don't care if there is a camera in front of me or not. Why should I change what I say just because there is a camera in front of me?"

There is also a "diss track" released earlier this month.

Fenech apparently did not understand why he had to change his behavior in his interactions with Electronic Arts after his ban, and has now been banned from all EA games and services, in addition to being banned from FIFA competitions.

"In November 2019, as part of the EA Sports FIFA Global Series, Kurt0411 committed a series of code of conduct violations threatening employees and other players, and was banned from participating in and attending EA Sporty FIFA 20 Global Series events and future competitions. banned from attending," Electronic Arts said in a message shared on Twitter.

"Since that time, Kurt has continued to post abusive and threatening messages and videos on social media against EA employees and competitive players and has encouraged others to do the same. His messages have crossed the line of decency and devolved into highly personal attacks that violate our Terms of Use. As a result, today Kurt0411's EA account has been banned from playing our games and accessing our services due to these serious and repeated violations.

Fenech posted an image of the ban message he received on Twitter, claiming that his ban was not actually due to his actions, but to his dominance.

"After all, I never said anything I shouldn't have. This goes deeper than anyone thinks," he tweeted. 'They didn't want me in the event because they were afraid I would win. And now I am the second biggest streamer in their game and they are afraid I will overtake their golden boy.

He also strongly hinted that despite being banned, he would not leave quietly.

I am not a FIFA player myself, so I cannot say for sure who Fenech's "Golden Boy" is, but according to Twitchmetrics, the top FIFA 20 streamer on Twitch by far is Edwin "Castro-1021" Castro. Ironically, Fenech's final warning before being banned from the FIFA tournament in November 2019 came after he interrupted Castro during a live streaming interview. He showed no remorse for the incident and said the situation could have been avoided, "If you had given me the microphone, I could have spoken to the people who were watching [for me]."
