Platinum Games Announces Major Announcement for February 27

Platinum Games is preparing to make another "big announcement" this month, following a successful Kickstarter for a port of "The Wonderful 101". As announced in this week's issue of Famitsu, the announcement itself will take place in the magazine on February 27.

This announcement will be the second of four. That is, if the mysterious Platinum 4 website is to be believed. What is the real story? No one knows for sure.

Last year, Platinum announced that they were designing something that had never been done before. Since then, it has remained fairly silent about this mysterious project, but it may be revealed next. Or perhaps it will be saved for a fourth and final reveal.

So what other announcements are on the horizon? I want a follow-up to "Nia: Automata". More sad robot and cyborg action. I also want last year's near-future detective slasher "Astral Chain" to be ported to PC instead of being exclusive to Nintendo Switch. The studio has said it wants to release all its games on PC.

Just before releasing "Bayonetta" and "Vanquish" on PC in 2018, Platinum said it was working on two in-house published titles, and they appeared to be original games, not remasters or sequels. So perhaps we will hear about one of them?
