Stardew Valley sold over 10 million units.
[The peaceful and comfortable farm life sim "Stardew Valley" was released on Steam in February 2016 and surpassed 1 million copies in April. Four years later, the game is available on Mac, Linux, consoles, and mobile devices and has now surpassed 10 million copies.

It would be interesting to compare the PC, console, and mobile numbers, although it is unfortunate that the sales breakdown is not by platform. Very casually, Steam still seems to be the dominant force: SteamSpy puts the number of owners on the storefront between 5 and 10 million.

One of the most gratifying things about Stardew Valley hitting this milestone was the response from the community: while Reddit is not necessarily the most uplifting place on the Internet, r/pcgaming, r/NintendoSwitch, r/StardewValley (naturally), etc., the messages on threads like these were honestly heartwarming.

And never forget, it all started with a Costco rig and a monitor balancing on a Wii box.
