Owlcat Games has announced the launch of a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the next installment in the CRPG Pathfinder series, Wrath of the Righteous In a news post on the official Owlcat website, the team explained that the Kickstarter will launch on February 4.

The post does not discuss the details of the campaign, but states that Owlcat wants its next game to "surpass its predecessor in every aspect." Alongside the campaign, Owlcat plans to reveal the main features of Wrath of the Righteous with gameplay videos and details of additions and improvements.

The developer's previous Pathfinder game, Kingmaker, was also successfully funded on Kickstarter, raising almost double its goal from 18,000 backers. Our Pathfinder: Andy Kelley wrote in his review of "Pathfinder: Kingmaker" that it "has some good ideas, but ultimately plays it too safe."

Both Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous are based on the tabletop RPG Pathfinder and are inspired by classic RPGs like Baldur's Gate and Fallout. For updates on the project, you can sign up for their newsletter at the Owlcat website.
