Thanks to Netflix's interactive map, the timeline of "The Witcher" is much easier to understand.

If you're having trouble keeping up with The Witcher's jumping timeline and your head is spinning, Netflix is finally lending a hand. You can now browse through a very slick, very useful interactive map and accompanying timeline. And even if you've figured it out, who could pass up the chance to explore a sexy fantasy map?

In The Witcher, the only hints as to when events will take place are brief references to combat and jokes about Jaskaie's aging, but in this map, even how old Jenefer and Geralt are is rather rudely laid bare: 32 years apart. Gerard is a bit of a pervert because of this, but we already knew that. By the time they first meet and take a sloppy tumble, they are already a little older, and by the end of the season Gerhard is 103, but still wearing very tight pants, and Jene is 72. The magic is the outrageous skin care.

The timeline is divided into four tracks, with Geralt, Jenefer, Ciri, and general history. The show throws a fair amount of lore at the viewer so they can see when historical events took place. The timeline also notes what happened in which episodes, so if you need a refresher, you can refer to that.

Clicking on the timeline will take you to that location on the map, which will be illuminated by the characters. Also, depending on the event you click on, the weather will change and there will be other effects.

Scroll to the far left and you will see a timeline that begins with the merging of the spheres, the ink falling on the map, and the monsters that strange events have brought into the world. Scroll to the far right and the map burns and a message appears: "Va'esse deiradh aep eigean, va'esse eigh faidh'ar." According to Google, this is an elder speech meaning "something ends, something begins." Unfortunately, it doesn't begin until next year, when The Witcher season 2 begins.
