For those who hate gaming chairs, Thermaltake has created a gaming chair.

There are two kinds of people in the world: those who love gaming chairs and those who want to buy a bunch of gaming chairs and set them on fire. If you fall into the latter category, Thermaltake's CyberChair E500 might be more up your alley (for sitting, not for burning).

Thermaltake unveiled this new "ergonomic and durable gaming chair" at CES. From the pictures I saw, it was nothing like Secretlab's "Omega" or Vertagear's "SL5000". I don't know if it is actually comfortable or not, I haven't sat in it yet.

But it looks promising. Although marketed as a gaming chair, at first glance it looks like a cross between a Herman Miller Aerion and a Celle office chair. The price of the Cyber Chair E500 is not that high, but it will still be relatively expensive.

Details are limited, but Thermaltake says the chair is made of an aluminum frame with "breathable" permeable mesh cushions.

"The CyberChair E500 offers a full range of adjustments, including headrest, seat depth, height adjustment, and a wire control mechanism that allows you to lock multiple positions for maximum comfort. In addition, the backrest can be tilted up to 117 degrees, allowing users to relax and immerse themselves," Thermaltake explains.

The multi-directional armrests allow for height and width adjustment. A cushioned headrest also protrudes from the top, but it is unclear how adjustable it is (it appears it can be raised or lowered at least a bit) or whether it can be quickly removed without the use of tools.

Those interested in this product will have to wait a while; Thermaltake says it will be available in February 2020.
