I have a console in this PC and Goro can play both at the same time.

A few months ago, Origin PC celebrated its 10th anniversary in the boutique building arena with the introduction of the Big O, a custom desktop featuring both PC and console hardware. This Big O is a custom desktop with both PC and console hardware.

Technically, this is the third iteration of the hybrid gaming PC; Origin PC created a version with an Xbox 360 built in a few years ago, then the latest updated model, and now a version that any gamer with the necessary funds can order made.

What is available for purchase differs slightly from the commemorative model Origin PC unveiled a few months ago. While the boutique builder packed a PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X, and Nintendo Switch into the system, gamers who order the Big O will have either a PS4 Pro or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. have to put up with.

It's a little disappointing that the Xbox One X isn't an option, as it is clearly more powerful than the Xbox One S and supports gaming in 4K. On the bright side, configuring the Big O with an Xbox One S is a bit cheaper than configuring it with a PS4 Pro (starting at $2,427 versus $2,573).

In the baseline configuration, the following components are available on the PC side.

On the configuration page, almost everything can be upgraded, including up to an Intel Core i9-9900K or AMD Ryzen 9 3950X processor, up to 64GB of RAM, and a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or RTX Titan graphics card. More robust liquid cooling options are also available. Of course, these upgrades also bump up the already rather hefty price.

All of this is encased in a modified Corsair Crystal 280X case, and one of the reasons Origin PC chose this particular case is because of its dual-chamber design. This allows the console to be housed in the right side chamber. See:

What Origin PC essentially does is disassemble the PS4 Pro and Xbox One S consoles and inject the major components into the interior of the Big O. The console is then placed inside the Big O's dual chambers. In other words, you do not get the console casing or, in the case of the PS4 Pro, the disc drive (the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition does not have a disc drive to begin with).

Like the PC portion of this build, the console is liquid cooled. On the right side of the case is an optional Elgato 4K60 Pro capture card.

"With the PC and capture card built into the Big O, you can play, stream, and record console gameplay, either on a single PC display with the Elgato capture card software or on multiple screens with the PC and With the PC and console crossplay feature, you can even play locally with friends using Big O," explains Origin PC.

The latter is an interesting, if niche, scenario. However, such a system is one way to be primarily a PC gamer and not miss out on PS4 and Xbox exclusives. Another way is to buy or build a PC and purchase the console separately, but for those who want some sort of all-in-one configuration, here you go.

The Big O is available now.
