This mod by kinggath offers a whole new way to build settlements by introducing a SimCity-like system: zone settlements for residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural land, and your settlers will build their own houses and stores, grow their own crops They will grow their own crops, and the settlements will develop on their own as NPCs modify and improve the buildings. If you build a cool settlement, why not share it? With this mod, you can package any settlement as a blueprint and transfer it to another saved game or upload it to share with other players. You can package livestock, tame creatures, power connections, and even sim settlement plots.

A vertibird you can live in. Technically, you can't fly, and travel is similar to fast travel, but you can create craftable landing zones around the world and move your vertibird there. The living quarters are small and require a coolant supply, but it's a nice house with a customized crafting station and a turret to keep the neighbors at bay.

Adding a great deal of flexibility and freedom to the residence, "Place Anywhere" allows previously fixed objects, such as the workshop bench, to be moved and placed anywhere you want. They can also be built anywhere in the settlement, such as in trees, underwater, or inside other objects. Red collision warnings are a thing of the past. You will need the Fallout Script Extender found on the last page of this list.

Tired of lugging all the junk you find in the world back to your settlement? This mod lends a hand to the settlers. Create a salvage beacon at the Chemistry Station, go exploring and when your pockets are full, fill the container with junk and drop the beacon, and the settlers will come and retrieve it all for you. Then the settlers will come and collect it all for you. They will put it in your workbench so you don't have to move.

With so much focus on building things in Fallout 4, I'm surprised Bethesda didn't come up with this. With this mod, you can create your own settlers in the workshop. Synthetic settlers. Turn off the radio beacon and you can (hopefully) colonize various outposts with friendly synths DIY has jumped to the next level, and now you can create your own synthetic colonists in the workshop.

This handy mod created by Daedragon makes it very easy to run power lines around Fallout 4 settlements. Since you are building with shoddy, rusted metal walls full of holes or wooden walls that are easy to punch holes in, why not run power lines through them? This modification would add a conduit that could be fitted behind a standard wall and run the wires through it. It can also be used for the roof.

I need a little quiet time away from the crowds of dead-eyed settlers. Basement Living adds 10 separate basements and bunkers to create your own cozy retreat. You can attach a basement to any settlement of your choice, and each comes with a fuse box that provides 100 power and a workbench so you can decorate as you wish.

You don't have to stick to the settlements that Fallout 4 offers. You can create your own settlements wherever you want. This mod adds a campsite, which you can place anywhere you like and turn it into a fully functioning settlement if you like the location. Up to 10 new settlements can be created and dismantled.

While it is nice that joining a faction gives you a settlement, its offerings are usually places you don't want to spend much time. These mods turn these faction dumps into more beautiful and spacious living quarters with workbenches, gyms, nice decor, and lots of storage space, available in Vault 81, Prydwen, Railroad, Castle, and The Institute.

If you have the Contraptions Workshop DLC for Fallout 4, you'll definitely want this mod, which greatly improves the settlement factories. It adds common sense features like a conveyor belt that allows you to remove junk directly from the workshop inventory and return completed items to the workshop. You'll also get new machinery like a loom for making Vault costumes and faction equipment, a power armor forge, a distillery for producing cola and liquor, and a forge for melee and fist weapons. There is also an auto-butcher that breaks down creatures (and humans) into flesh, bone, and leather.

Settlers who respond to your radio beacon are generally a bit boring. Most of them are generally dressed the same way, and it is hard to tell them apart unless you personally dress them differently. This mod adds over 150 new settlers, giving the empty-eyed corn growers that come to your turf a little more personality. Another mod, Don't Call Me Settler, will also give them unique names.

If you want to tweak or change your character's appearance after leaving home at the beginning of Fallout 4, you can do so at the plastic surgery shop. The mod allows you to do that from any settlement by adding a mirror to the workshop. The mirror can be placed on any wall of your choice and a menu will appear that allows you to use it to change your appearance.

Decorating a settlement can be tedious, and even if loot items are carefully placed on shelves or tables, they can and probably will be knocked over later by clumsy settlers or fellow settlers (or you). This mod not only makes it easier to place items (loot items will be movable just like static objects when using the workshop menu), but also to secure them from being knocked over. Perfect for.

The size of settlements in Fallout 4 is very strictly limited. It sucks if you are building a large base and suddenly have to stop, the Higher Settlement Budget mod solves this problem, but be aware that adding more objects can slow performance and crash the game! Please note that the mod does not work on all types of buildings, but only on those that have been built.

Homemaker gives settlements more options, including two new crops, more walls and fences, 30 new lights, and new containers like ammo boxes and lockers. If you like to put your extra supplies in meat bags, you can use meat bags. Some people do.
