Super Mega Baseball 3" released in April

Not many baseball games have been released on the PC. Next year may finally see the release of "MLB The Show," but for sports fans, "Super Mega Baseball" was a great baseball simulation game. The great news is that Metalhead Software has announced that "Super Mega Baseball 3" will be released on PC (and consoles and Switch) this April.

As you can see from the trailer above and the screenshots below, the focus of the game is on stadiums. But that's not all that's new and improved in SMB3. Many new animations have been added, such as the pickoff and stolen base systems, wild pitches, passed balls, designated hitters, and a lot of new animations, like being knocked out by a pitch or smashing your bat in frustration after a failed attempt.

In addition, a new franchise mode means that players can grow and age over multiple seasons, enter free agency, and even retire. Maybe we can rebuild a team with video game heroes and villains and see what happens over multiple seasons.

"Super Mega Baseball 2" is one of the only games I've spent money on to purchase additional uniforms and customization DLC, so no additional expense is required. Says Scott Drader, co-founder of Metalhead. 'You get the whole package in one purchase and there are no in-game purchases, and Super Mega Baseball is available on Steam for $44.99.'
